Overview

RiseCue (“the App”) is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide sunrise alarm functionality, and we do not sell, share, or monetize your personal information.

Data We Collect

Location Data

• What: Your geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude)
• Why: To calculate accurate sunrise times for your location
• How: Only when you explicitly add a location or use “Current Location”
• Storage: Stored locally on your device only

Saved Locations

• What: Location names and coordinates you save
• Storage: Stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults
• Sharing: Never transmitted to our servers

Third-Party Services

Sunrise-Sunset.org API

We use the sunrise-sunset.org API to fetch sunrise times.

• Data Sent: Only latitude and longitude coordinates
• No Personal Info: No device identifiers, names, or other personal data is transmitted
• Their Policy: See sunrise-sunset.org for their privacy practices

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone)
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Health or fitness data
• Contacts, photos, or other media
• Browsing history

Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device:

• Saved locations
• Alarm preferences
• App settings

We do not operate servers that store your data. Uninstalling the app removes all associated data.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with:

• Advertisers
• Data brokers
• Analytics companies
• Any third parties (except sunrise-sunset.org for sunrise calculations)

Children’s Privacy

RiseCue does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no age-restricted content.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access: View your saved locations in the app
• Delete: Remove locations or uninstall the app to delete all data
• Portability: Data is stored only on your device

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above.
